Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with the school administration to develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s mission and values.

Duties

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of preschool-aged children, including literacy education and social skills development.
  • Plan and lead daily lessons and activities that promote learning and exploration, including arts, music, and physical education.
  • Create and maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging and promotes the well-being of all students.
  • Assess and track the progress of each student, providing individualized support and feedback to ensure they reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a classroom setting, with the ability to multitask and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Experience with tutoring or one-on-one instruction is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Montessori education methods is an asset.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Daycare Director with a Texas Director’s License and experience with Workforce Solutions Child Care Services (CCS) and Texas Rising Star (TRS). The ideal candidate must also have knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and be flexible with working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends. This role requires strong leadership, compliance expertise, and a passion for high-quality early childhood education.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations while ensuring compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Standards.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), including meal planning and reporting.
  • Maintain and improve Texas Rising Star (TRS) certification, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Work with Workforce Solutions (CCS) programs, managing enrollment, subsidies, and reporting.
  • Supervise, hire, and train staff while fostering a positive and professional environment.
  • Maintain accurate records for licensing, enrollment, food program, and TRS compliance.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that supports school readiness and developmentally appropriate learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including 6 AM – 6:30 PM on weekdays and some weekends as needed.

The Daycare Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of children between the daycare center and local schools. The driver ensures that all safety procedures are followed, maintains a clean and safe vehicle, and fosters a positive environment for the children during transport.

Key Responsibilities:

School Transportation and Safety

  • Safely transport children between the daycare center and designated schools, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off.
  • Follow assigned routes and maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the van is safe and operational.
  • Ensure all children are properly secured in age-appropriate car seats, booster seats, or seat belts as required by Texas law.
  • Assist children with entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
  • Monitor children’s behavior during transport to maintain safety and order.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Keep the van clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the daycare director immediately.
  • Schedule and oversee regular vehicle maintenance, such as oil changes, tire checks, and safety inspections.

Compliance and Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate transportation logs, including pick-up/drop-off times and attendance records.
  • Follow all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Be prepared to follow emergency procedures in the event of an accident or unforeseen incident.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate with daycare staff and school personnel to ensure smooth transitions and accurate attendance tracking.
  • Inform the daycare director and parents/guardians of any delays, issues, or incidents during transport.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children in a daycare, school, or similar setting is a plus.

Licensing and Certification

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old (as required by DFPS guidelines).
  • Pass a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong awareness of child safety and security.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to schedules.
  • Patience, attentiveness, and the ability to remain calm in emergencies.

Work Schedule:

  • Morning Shift: Transport children to school.
